Tuesday 31st May
Delighted to be joining my friends from the local Rotary Club, who are dining at the hotel for the austerity lunch today, the hotel are donating all the members with complimentary food and me and my fellow Rotarians will be making a donation to a Mary's Meals who support children's charities in Nepal.
Monday 30th May,
Just had a nice bowl of Tomato and Basil Soup from our Chef's that are working hard in a hot kitchen on such a beautiful day like today for a large French lunch group in the hotel, the sun is shining, the street is busy with tourist season upon us.
Sunday May 29th,
Today was a busy day at Fisher's hotel we had a full house Saturday night, partly as a result of the Annual Atholl Highlanders Parade, so our Housekeepers were very busy turning the rooms around for our Sunday night full house. It is Blair Atholl Highland Games today so the whole town is buzzing with atmosphere. Tonight I watched a beautiful red sunset over Pitlochry to relax.
Thanks to my friends at Pitlochry Festival Theatre for the invite to the opening night of the summer season and their headline show, Carousel last evening. A light meal several glasses of wine, great acting and an amazing arrangement for the orchestra. I have to say I thoroughly recommend that you see this show.
Just had lunch at the small cafe across the road, stuffed, I really need to walk it off, so I have called my chum who has a West Highland Terrier and we are about to set out for a walk around Loch Fiskally. I feel really fortunate to live in Pitlochry.
Started a bit later this morning, and there was a cappuccino waiting for me, what a way to start the day watching life pass by the hotel, smell of the fresh flowers and a hot coffee in hand.
