December 2016

Well that's December arrived with a bang, straight into the Christmas spirit this week.  Santa's Elves have been doing the finishing touches of the Christmas Decorations around the hotel, the hotel has transformed into a Winter grotto for the festive season I think its 9 trees in counting we have up and decorated in the hotel, I keep finding another one every time I turn a corner!

Started the weekend off in style with live band entertainment for our Christmas Party Night, we even had the local farmers in for a function on Friday all kitted out in their kilts and dresses.  Saturday is the "Pitlochry Christmas Festival" lots going on throughout the town from markets, stalls, choir, arts and crafts for all ages, bbq, mulled wine and the switch on of the Christmas lights here at Fisher's Hotel.

This week has been full of great news, I took my team out for the day to Falconry experience to celebrate a successful year as a treat to the team, we all enjoyed looking at these magnificent birds!  We also had a visit from my friend and our owner Fionn MacCumhaill who shared some fantastic news with the hotel, he is now sole proprietor of the hotel, so we are now a family owned hotel.  However this does not mean that he gets rid off me, Fionn is a close friend of mine and has promised to keep me on my best behaviour!

Our Pastry Chef Hajni has been working hard for our little elves to have a village to live in over the festive season, as elves need a place to relax at the end of a long day helping Santa.

Santa has visited Fisher's Hotel Staff Today with a gift for all the staff! The staff got to sit down and relax while the heads of departments served them Christmas Lunch, they have all worked very hard this year so well done to you all. Also thanks to our raffle prizes and vouchers from some of our partners the lucky winners will enjoy! Merry Christmas to all staff and again thank you for all your hard work throughout the year!
